NZ ETS auction history
The public auction history page lists every New Zealand ETS auction since March 2021 - clearing price, units offered and sold, and whether the auction cleared - with a chart of clearing prices over time. It is drawn from the official results published on the ETS auction noticeboard, is free to view and needs no account.
It is useful context when planning a purchase: government auctions have not cleared since December 2024, so units are changing hands in the secondary market rather than at auction.
The NZU market reference
The NZU reference price page shows the daily indicative market reference, with its source and date, alongside the latest government auction result. It is the figure a listing follows when the seller chooses to match the market. It is general market information, not a quote and not a Carbon Trader traded price. The same figure is available free as an API, described on that page.
Other free data and APIs
The calculators and data page gathers the rest: the emission factor catalogue, with its free API, ETS participant data and the free calculators. None of them need an account or a key.
Reports in your dashboard
Open Reports and choose Generate an export:

Choose CSV for a spreadsheet or JSON for another system. Each export is listed under Your exports to download again, with a SHA-256 fingerprint so you can show later that a file is the one Carbon Trader produced. For a single completed trade, the statement on its row under Settlements is usually all you need.
