Payments, fees and settlement
The Fees tab lets signed-in users view the active fee schedule and estimate transaction charges. Public visitors can also view the public fee schedule.
How payment works
Payment automation varies by workflow.
Built-in payment flows
The platform supports checkout sessions for:
- Settlement funding.
- Buy-request funding.
- Generic customer payments, where enabled.
For settlement and buy-request payments, the backend derives the amount from the settlement or buy request rather than trusting a user-entered amount.
Manual/admin-invoiced services
Some service requests are currently handled by quote, invoice or manual collection. Examples can include managed settlement, private placement, broker services, claim review, supplier verification and subscription work depending on configuration.
For these, the usual workflow is:
- User requests service.
- Carbon Trader confirms fee and scope.
- Invoice or payment instructions are sent.
- User pays.
- Carbon Trader confirms payment and progresses the service.
