About Carbon Trader

Director-led carbon market infrastructure for New Zealand and international credit transactions

Carbon Trader was created to give buyers, sellers, advisers and project owners a clearer way to use carbon-credit markets. The platform combines marketplace listings, brokered RFQs, managed escrow, NZETR transfer coordination, evidence packs, claim-risk controls and enterprise data tools.

Our role

A practical operating layer for carbon market transactions

Carbon Trader is operated by Trend Enterprises Limited t/a Carbon Trader®. The platform is built for the practical work that sits around carbon-credit buying and selling: verification, authority, listings, buyer engagement, price discovery, settlement instructions, escrow, registry transfer evidence, digital records and completion documents.

The aim is to make carbon-credit activity easier to understand and safer to execute. Public marketplace pages help buyers and sellers discover opportunities, while brokered workflows support transactions where confidentiality, price discovery, staged sale planning, credit quality, settlement risk or documentation is important.

Carbon Trader does not ask users for NZETR or RealMe credentials. Where NZUs are involved, sellers or authorised NZETR representatives initiate transfers in accordance with agreed settlement instructions.

Director

Richard Blainey

Richard Blainey is the Director of Carbon Trader. His focus is on building a clear, usable and controlled platform for people who need to buy, sell, source, settle and evidence carbon credits without relying on informal email-only processes.

Carbon Trader combines digital workflows with broker-led support. That means sellers can authorise Carbon Trader to manage a sale process, buyers can request sourced supply, and both sides can work through a clearer settlement and evidence pathway.

Why Carbon Trader exists

Carbon markets need clearer process, safer settlement and better records

Carbon-credit transactions can involve fragmented information, unclear authority, private buyer and seller discussions, registry transfer steps, claim-risk questions and settlement risk. Carbon Trader brings these steps into a controlled platform so users can see what has been verified, what has been approved, what still needs to happen and what evidence exists after completion.

The platform is not a substitute for legal, tax, accounting or investment advice. It is an operating layer for carbon-market participation, supported by onboarding checks, platform terms, managed escrow, documentation and administrative controls.
