NZ and international carbon credit marketplace access

Carbon Trader® gives verified users a structured place to view NZU and multi-credit opportunities, create listings, open broker mandates, compare RFQs and move transactions through documented transfer, retirement, evidence and settlement steps.

A marketplace designed for real carbon-credit transactions

Carbon trading works best when counterparties understand exactly what is being offered, which registry or standard is involved, what claim the credit can support, what evidence is required, what has been funded and what must be delivered. Carbon Trader® is structured around that practical reality. Public pages show eligible market activity, while approved account holders can create listings, supplier profiles, credit lots, buyer mandates, seller mandates, broker cases, trade requests, reservations and evidence-backed settlement records.

The marketplace is not presented as an anonymous live exchange. It is an escrow-led platform that combines verified access, operational checkpoints, trade records and communication workflows. This is important for participants who want to avoid loose spreadsheet processes, manual email trails or uncertainty over whether units and funds are moving through the right stages.

Public visibility and private action

Public marketplace pages are designed to give prospective users a clear view of available activity. Trading actions remain inside authenticated account workflows so verification, permissions and settlement checks can apply. This separation keeps browsing simple while ensuring bidding, buy-now actions, sell-now responses and settlement steps happen within controlled account boundaries.

Listings, buy requests and auctions

Sellers can use listings and auctions to present NZU lots in a structured way. Buyers can browse public listings or create buy requests when they want to source units at a defined price and quantity. These models allow different trading needs to sit inside the same platform, from straightforward buy-now activity through to competitive bidding and request-led sourcing.

Settlement visibility

After a transaction is created, Carbon Trader® records progress through funding, NZU delivery, release and completion steps. Users can follow trade events in the account area and download statements for internal review. This helps reduce reliance on informal status updates and gives teams a clearer operational record.

The wider carbon market operates within the New Zealand Emissions Trading Scheme. Carbon Trader® is focused on marketplace participation, workflow control and records, while users remain responsible for their own commercial, legal, tax and compliance decisions.
