Quality and claims

Credit quality, claim suitability and evidence packs

Show what a carbon credit can be used for, what evidence is required and when a claim is too risky.

Quality and claims

Make credit quality, claim suitability and evidence visible before trading

Carbon Trader® should differentiate by warning buyers when a credit is not NZ ETS eligible, not automatically a carbon offset, requires retirement evidence, or needs specialist Article 6, aviation, tax or legal review.

Standard integrity

Score the standard, registry, methodology, vintage, host country and evidence completeness.

Claim use case

Label credits for NZ ETS compliance, voluntary offset, contribution claim, CORSIA, Article 6, nature-only or specialist trading.

Evidence requirements

Capture project ID, registry account, vintage, title chain, transfer, retirement and public claim documentation.

Claim discipline

Use-case labels protect buyers and sellers

The application should show clear labels across public listings, trader workspaces and admin review queues. A biodiversity-only credit should not be displayed as a carbon offset unless a verified carbon component is approved. International voluntary units should be displayed separately from NZ ETS compliance units.

Basic evidence pack

Transaction summary, listing, counterparty, fee estimate and registry evidence references.

Assurance-grade pack

Enhanced document trail for claims, retirements, registry proof, vintage evidence and broker review decisions.

Admin review

Quality assessments and claim assessments are surfaced in the admin console for defensible approval and audit records.
