Managed settlement service
A white-glove service for transactions that need a person, not just a platform - Carbon Trader® coordinates the parties, paperwork and registry steps while the same escrow controls protect both sides.
What we do for you
Under a managed settlement engagement, Carbon Trader® runs the transaction as a service order: we confirm the sale terms with both parties, prepare the settlement instructions, collect the supporting documents into a settlement pack, coordinate buyer funding into escrow, track the NZETR transfer evidence, and issue the completion statement and records at the end. You deal with one coordinator rather than chasing each step yourself.
Who it suits
Managed settlement is designed for trades where self-service is not the right fit: larger or staged parcels, sales by trusts, estates or partnerships, transactions with multiple approvers or advisers on either side, cross-border sourcing, and situations where a party is new to the ETS and wants each step confirmed before it happens.
The same escrow protection underneath
Every managed transaction still settles through the standard Carbon Trader® escrow checkpoints - buyer funds confirmed first, seller units evidenced, then release and payout. The managed service adds coordination and documentation on top; it never bypasses the controls. See how escrow settlement works for the underlying mechanics.
Fees and engagement
Managed settlement is charged under the published fee schedule, with bespoke pricing available for complex or high-volume engagements. Work begins once the service order and any required seller authority are confirmed. The service does not replace legal, financial, tax or ETS advice - it removes the operational load, not the need for your own advisers.
