Platform operator
Carbon Trader is operated by Trend Enterprises Limited (NZBN: 9429048521130) t/a Carbon Trader®. Carbon Trader's Financial Services Registered Provider number is FSP1008496.
What Carbon Trader does
Carbon Trader provides a carbon-market platform and broker-led services for NZUs, selected voluntary and international carbon credits, public marketplace listings, private seller mandates, buyer RFQs, broker cases, price discovery, managed escrow, settlement coordination, digital wallet records, evidence packs, claim-risk support, supplier intake and Enterprise API access.
What Carbon Trader does not do
Carbon Trader is not a government agency, regulator, NZETR operator, tax adviser, legal adviser, accountant, auditor, forestry consultant or environmental certification body. Users should obtain their own professional advice before buying, selling, holding, transferring, retiring or making claims about carbon credits.
Escrow and settlement
Carbon Trader-managed escrow is the standard settlement pathway for brokered NZU transactions unless otherwise agreed in a sale confirmation. Sellers or their authorised NZETR representatives remain responsible for initiating NZETR transfers. Carbon Trader does not require NZETR or RealMe credentials.
AML/CFT, verification and privacy
Carbon Trader may require customer due diligence, KYB, beneficial-owner information, source-of-funds checks, source-of-credit checks, sanctions screening, PEP checks and ongoing monitoring. Carbon Trader may use third-party providers including Sumsub, AWS, Cognito, Mailgun, Klaviyo, Kudosity, Stripe and other operational providers.
Market and claim risk
Carbon credit prices, eligibility, regulatory treatment, registry rules, project quality and environmental-claim suitability may change. Carbon Trader may provide evidence and claim-risk support, but does not guarantee that any credit supports every legal, reporting, marketing or environmental claim.
Insurance disclosure
Carbon Trader maintains public liability insurance up to NZD $100,000, subject to policy wording, exclusions and limits. This is not a guarantee of transaction performance, investment outcome, credit quality, client money protection, cyber-loss protection or registry-loss protection.
Fees
The Carbon Trader® fee schedule explains published platform fees, indicative estimates, pass-through costs and GST treatment for marketplace, brokered, settlement, evidence, claim and Enterprise API workflows.
